Melissa Jackson
Meet Melissa Jackson, Licensed Certified Social Worker, our esteemed therapist and alumnus of the University of Southern Mississippi. Melissa graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Her academic journey continued at the University of New England, where she earned her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2014. Since 2015, Melissa has dedicated her career to working with children and families in crisis.

Melissa's professional expertise is deeply rooted in supporting children and teens with significant emotional disabilities. She specializes in treating conditions such as depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder (DMDD), ADHD, anxiety, and high-functioning autism.
Alongside direct therapeutic work with young clients, Melissa is committed to engaging with parents. Her approach includes offering psychoeducation about their child’s diagnosis, as well as providing parental support and strategies for conflict management.

Melissa is adept in a variety of techniques, including anger management, social skills training, relaxation methods, conflict resolution, and fostering effective communication skills. Her goal is to empower families and individuals to navigate their challenges with resilience and understanding, fostering a path toward healing and positive change.

Her approach is centered on creating a supportive and understanding environment where clients can safely explore and address their emotions. She is committed to helping them develop the tools and resilience needed to navigate their unique challenges and foster a sense of emotional well-being.
