Dr. Barbara Martin

Dr. Barbara Martin, a distinguished member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is a licensed psychologist with comprehensive expertise in clinical psychology. She holds both a Master's and a Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University, Alabama, where she developed her specialization in child psychology.

Her academic journey began at Tougaloo College, where she earned a dual Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Mental Health. This diverse educational background laid the foundation for her extensive career in psychological and behavioral healthcare.

Dr. Martin’s experience spans a range of professional settings, including inpatient and outpatient mental health services. She has served as a consulting psychologist in various environments such as K-12 schools, juvenile justice systems, and adult detention facilities, bringing her expertise to those in critical need of psychological support.

Her commitment to education and mentorship is evident through her tenure as faculty at several universities, including Troy University, Auburn University, Alabama State University, and Alcorn State University. Her academic contributions have been instrumental in shaping future psychologists and mental health professionals.
